What is dowsing?
Dowsing, an ancient intuitive art, involves using tools like a pendulum to detect energy, diagnose imbalances, and guide healing. Hence, our name! At Healing Pendulum, we utilize it to understand your unique energetic needs and tailor our sessions for optimal results.
The best way to think about the pendulum is as an external tool which guides the practitioner’s intuition. So, the guidance is coming from within the intuitive healer themselves, not from some external source.
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a form of energy healing which relies on the practitioner channeling the “universal life force” either through direct hands-on touch or through remote healing. The practice of Reiki originates in Japan, where the Founder Mikao Usui, a ShugendÅ monk, originally established it as a form of spiritual practice in the 19th century.
Reiki is considered a form of alternative medicine, used to heal physical, mental, or emotional imbalances.
Can anyone practice Reiki?
Absolutely! Reiki is a simple, natural, and safe method of spiritual healing and self-improvement that everyone can learn. It does not require any special talents or beliefs, only the willingness to practice Reiki and an attunement by an accredited Reiki Master. We offer online and in-person Reiki training and attunements for those interested in learning.
Does Reiki adhere to any specific creed or religion?
No, Reiki is not a religion and has no dogma. The Founder, Master Usui, specifically intended it to be a spiritual practice that is universal and non-denominational. People of all backgrounds and belief systems can receive and learn Reiki, as it works with the innate universal life force energy present in all living things.
Can I receive 'bad' or negative energy during Reiki?
This is a common worry, but with Reiki, it can never happen. Reiki energy is pure, divine, and always works for the highest good. As a practitioner, one acts as a conduit, and only positive, healing energy flows through. You are always safe and protected during a session with us.
How should I prepare for a session?
To ensure optimal energy flow, we recommend not wearing any leather, metal, or tight clothing. Also, avoid consuming alcohol immediately before or after your session. Hydrating well and giving yourself ample time to relax afterward is highly recommended for integrating the healing.
How are sessions conducted?
For your convenience, I can connect with you by phone (often the easiest way) or via Zoom for remote sessions. For clients who have worked with me before and are familiar with the process, I also offer completely asynchronous healings, allowing you to receive support on your schedule.
